Waxing

Since the time of ancient Egypt, waxing has been the one of the most popular methods of depilation (hair removal) worldwide.

Here at Origins, we are determined to ensure that whether you are a seasoned regular or new to waxing, your experience is a positive one. All of our therapists are qualified and trained under the Skin Penetration Act. This ensures you receive the most hygienic and comfortable treatment possible. We use two types of wax at Origins. Strip wax is a deep green wax applied thinly, and removed by pressing a cloth against the skin. Hot or Hard wax is a light pink colour, and is applied thickly and allowed to dry hard, then pulled off.

It is extremely important to mention to us if you have any contraindications to waxing, especially allergies, or if you are on Roaccutane.

Body Waxing
You will be shown through to a room and asked to undress appropriately. On the bed you will find a towel with which to cover yourself. Your therapist will then come in and explain the treatment, then apply a pre-wax lotion or baby powder. Body waxing is generally performed with strip wax, however areas such as underarm can be waxed with hard wax on request. Afterwards she will massage in a soothing tea-tree oil based lotion.

Half Leg: $27.00 - Either the top or the bottom half of the leg, including the knee.
3/4 Legs: $39.00
Full Leg : $50.00 - From bikini line down, including feet and toes.
Half Arm $27.00 - Including the Elbow.
Full Arm $36.00 - From shoulder, including hands and fingers.

Bikini and Brazilian Waxing
Waxing of the bikini area has become more and more popular since the bikini was invented in the sixties. In the last 10 years, the Brazilian wax has become the treatment of choice for many women of all ages.

Standard Bikini Wax- $22.00
All hair outside the area covered by a standard pair of bikini cut underwear is removed. For this treatment, you may leave your underwear on.

G-String Bikini Wax – $32.00
All hair outside the area covered by a standard G-string is removed.
We recommend for this treatment that you wear a g-string, or we can provide a disposable one if required.

Brazilian Wax - $60.00

Maintenance Braz (within 4 weeks) $48.00
If this is your first Braz, you may be feeling a little self conscious. Rest assured all of our therapists are very mature and discreet, and we have seen it all before! We do prefer that you remove your underwear, however if you feel uncomfortable have a chat with the therapist first. Feel free to give yourself a bit of a freshen up with the baby wipes you find on the bed, then lie down, get comfy and place the towel over yourself to stay warm.

After your first Brazilian you may find you come up in spots, this is very normal and is caused by the pores being open. Use a tea tree lotion and exfoliate regularly to prevent ingrown hairs. If you have any concerns feel free to give us a call anytime. We are very friendly!

Facial Waxing
The face can be a delicate area for many people. A combination of strip and hard wax may be used, please speak up if you have a particular preference. We begin with a pre-wax lotion and end with a aloe vera soothing gel.

Your eyebrows frame the most expressive feature of your face; your eyes. Put yourself in our capable hands and allow us to wax and tweeze your eyebrows into the perfect shape. We will consult with you on your preferences, and also give you our professional advice to ensure you end up with a result that is flattering to your features.
